Together, we’ve poured our passion for authentic bistro food into creating a home-dining experience that brings the atmosphere of a much-loved gastro pub, Parisian bistro or a sunny Provençal terrace straight to your table.

What started as a dream quickly became reality in 2021, when we launched our signature home-dining dishes - combining convenience, luxury and of course, simply delicious flavours. Today, Bistro Chef delivers across the UK, giving everyone a chance to enjoy dishes that are comforting, yet indulgent and without compromise on the ingredients you are eating.

Our Journey

The Culinary Vision

Christophe’s journey with food began at just 14, when he trained in traditional French cooking at a Michelin-starred restaurant in La Rochelle. His natural talent, curiosity and determination opened doors to kitchens across France - from acclaimed restaurants to grand châteaux - where he honed his craft under some of the country’s most respected chefs.

His career soon took him beyond France, cooking privately for the rich and famous, blending French tradition with the demands of world-class fine dining. Eventually, Christophe settled in Bath, opening his own French brasserie and later developing the Bistro Chef concept alongside Magalie.

A Love For Dining

Brigitte’s story begins in Rheims, where her love of good food, great ingredients and generous entertaining was nurtured from an early age. At 16, she left home to pursue her independence, armed with her mother’s parting words:

“I didn’t have time to teach you how to cook - so you’ll either have to learn quickly, or marry a chef!”

Brigitte took the second option - and hasn’t looked back since.

Flavour Meets Foresight

Jackie rounds out a trio that blends culinary mastery with business finesse. Together, they make sure Bistro Chef isn’t just delicious - it’s smart, sustainable and joyful.

Jackie is a seasoned entrepreneur and business consultant with a love for real food – food that stays true to where it is grown, fished, baked or made. This comes from her upbringing on a market garden, picking and eating straight from the plant!

She is well-versed in helping companies grow, thrive, and stay focused and has previously been at the helm of an online local food delivery company, supported speciality food brands to become retail ready, and championed their produce with fine food retailers.
