Sustainability & Sourcing

Our Commitment

We’ve built our kitchen around thoughtful choices that look after both people and the planet.

Bistro Chef Holding Ingredients

Taste Good, Feel Good, Do Good.

We know sustainability isn’t a destination - it’s an ongoing journey. That’s why we’re constantly rethinking and refining every part of our business to make it kinder to the planet, while never compromising on quality or taste.

Sourcing from British Farmers

We’re proud to work with a community of farmers and producers who share our passion for quality, sustainability & animal welfare.

Our standard for meat is to work with UK Red Tractor Assured farms, sourcing from Somerset wherever possible.

From crisp vegetables and seasonal fruit to fresh dairy and responsibly sourced meat, many of our ingredients come from suppliers within just 20 miles of our kitchen.

Keeping it local means fewer food miles, fresher flavours and a relationship with the growers who bring our ingredients to life.

Cutting Down Our Carbon Footprint

Every decision in our kitchen has an impact, and we’re determined to keep ours as light as possible.

That starts with the ingredients we choose, but it doesn’t stop there. We regularly review how we operate - from energy use to waste reduction - to make sure we’re always moving in the right direction.

Small changes add up to a big difference, and we’re not slowing down.

And it doesn’t end there - our trays are made from 95% renewable materials and are 100% recyclable, right down to the film lids. It’s proof that convenience and sustainability can go hand in hand.
